Dynamic and Quasistatic Collision Detection

With GEMCMS02 you can mitigate or even avoid expensive consequential damage from collisions in metal cutting machines, robots and handling systems. In case of a collision, GEMCMS02 initiates a stop signal within 1 ms and keeps the damage as small as possible.

Due to the special sensor, GEMCMS02 is able to detect not only hard hits but also non-impact (“quasistatic”) collisions causing compressive forces at lower speed typically taking place during set-up.

The stand-alone module GEMTMUTP is the entry-level solution for detecting anomalies in the machining process of machine tools. By measuring the active power of drives, GEMTMUTP is able to detect and report the following events real time:
